Preparation of five year Periodic Plan Gangadev Rural Municipality

Description of assignment:

The main purpose of formulating periodic development plan is to prepare a plan that can support the development of the people through planned development by addressing the development problems seen in the rural municipality in a strategic manner. Therefore, since there is a need for an integrated strategy for the development of the rural/municipality by making maximum use of the opportunities and available resources at the local level, a periodical development (strategic) plan has been formulated to maintain a common understanding and coordinated role in the development of all service providers working in the rural/municipality.

Major assignments carried out are:

1. Review of relevant literature
2. Preplanning workshop in the presence of local level political parties, representatives of different levels, employees, government non-governmental offices, associations, private and commercial organizations/companies, civil society representatives, etc
3. Ward level consultation meeting at the initiative of the concerned ward committee in presence of stakeholders of community organizations, community development organizations, cooperatives, community forest user groups, drinking water user groups, women’s groups, mothers’ groups, community schools, associations active in the ward, childres club, private sector, ward level representatives of political parties, etc.
4. Data collection, data quality verification and validation
5. Discussion/consultation with other concerned associations/organizations, including subject area committees, sub-committees on subject area situation, problems, challenges, opportunities, area thinking, goals, objectives, strategies, tactics and major plans and programs.
6. Local level consultation, review and revision on first draft of the periodical plan containing the subject sector situation, problems, challenges, opportunities, sector thinking, goals, objectives, strategies, tactics and major plans and programs prepared according to the suggestions of the subject sector committees and sub-committees
7. Preparation and submission of final five year periodic plan incooperating feedbacks
